Who can join?

This membership is available to all residents of the United States.

How soon after enrollment will I have access to my membership benefits?

Your membership is effective immediately upon successful authorization of your credit card. You will have access to all services and benefits at that time. Your membership materials, including program information, important toll-free numbers and your membership card, will be emailed to you in a confirmation email upon successful authorization of your credit card.

What happens if I decide to cancel my membership?

You may cancel at any time and you’ll receive a prorated refund of the unused portion of your then-current-year’s membership fee.

How do I obtain Emergency Roadside Service?

Simply call the toll-free number on your membership card. A customer service representative is available to help you 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. As a member, you are not responsible for payment of any cost of service, except for parts or services not covered by this program.

What vehicles are covered under this membership?

Your membership covers you in any non-commercial, private passenger vehicle you own, rent, or lease—excluding motor homes, duallies, trailers, or trucks over one-ton capacity. RV and motorcycle coverage included when indicated.

Does a Roadside Assistance membership cover all drivers in my family?

A single membership covers the member only. A family membership covers the member, spouse, and all other licensed drivers in your family, including children up to age 21, residing at the member’s address.

Who are the Roadside Assistance Providers?

Roadside Assistance is serviced by United States Auto Club, Motoring Division, Inc. which has a network of more than 8,000 towing providers and 2,000 locksmiths—each certified, uniformed, and on-call 24 hours a day. Emergency Roadside Service Providers and locksmiths are independent contractors and are not employees, agents, or representatives of United States Auto Club, Motoring Division, Inc.

What is the towing coverage?

As a member, you have no restrictions on where you can be towed — to your home, a dealership, your favorite mechanic—the choice is yours. The membership covers up to a benefit allowance per incident.

What does the benefit allowance NOT cover?

The benefit allowance DOES NOT cover:

  • Parts
  • Key replacement
  • Fuel (over 2 gallons)
  • Tire repair or replacement
  • Rental of towing equipment
  • Storage fees
  • Labor costs for repairs performed at the disablement site, garage, and service facility
  • Any form of impound towing or towing by someone other than a licensed service station or garage
  • Assistance from a private citizen

What other Emergency Roadside Assistance Benefits are covered by my membership?
